François Macré - Thriller (64 tracks a'cappella version) Voici une reprise du titre "Thriller" que j'ai intégralement enregistré par ma voix, en A'cappella sur 64 pistes. Il n'y a donc aucun instrument, synthé, boite à rythme, ni même sampler, mais seulement le son de ma voix agrémenté de Reverb et d'un léger Chorus sur certaines pistes. Pour les parties qui se répètent, j'ai simplement utilisé la technique du "Looping". En outre, sur l'ensemble du projet (qui contient des milliers de notes), j'ai transposé 8 notes qui m'étaient impossibles de chanter dans les aigus. Vue ma tessiture, j'ai également dû me résigner à chanter certaines parties en voix de tête, plus particulièrement sur la piste correspondant au chant solo de Michael Jackson. J'ai réalisé ce projet non-commercial chez moi - uniquement à l'aide d'un PC portable, d'un micro, d'un casque et d'une webcam - en à peu près 350 heures. Il s'agit juste d'un défit artistique, réalisé durant mes heures de loisir, dont le but est de faire sourire mes proches et les internautes. Malgré tout, je serais heureux d'enregistrer en studio professionnel, des titres originaux avec cette technique, si un label s'intéressait de près à travailler avec moi sur un single ou un album entièrement basé sur ce concept novateur d' "Acappella Massivement Multipistes". There is therefore no instrument, synthetizer, beatbox, or even to sampler, but only the sound of my voice livened up with Reverb and slight Chorus on certain tracks. Regarding looping parts, I've simply used the "looping" technique. Moreover, in the whole piece (which contains several thousand notes), I transposed 8 notes, which were impossible for me to sing in high-pitched. Because of my tessiture, I also must have resigned myself to sing certain parts in head voice, more particularly on the track corresponding to Michael Jackson's solo vocal. I've accomplished this non-commercial project at home, only with a mobile PC, microphone, headphones and webcam - in nearly 350 hours. It's just an artistic challenge, accomplished during my hours of free time, whose purpose is to make smile my close circle and net surfers. Nonetheless, I'll be happy to record in professional studio, original songs with this technique, if a label was interested to work with me on a SP or LP entirely based on this innovative concept of "Massively Multitracks A'cappella". cappella be my baby It was the great idea of Gianfranco Bortolotti who, in 1987, led the Media team to create the track "Bauhaus/Push The Beat", which had great success in clubs all over the world, entering many of the European charts, including the UK Top 50! The first breakthrough for Cappella. Their success was to see rapid growth with the release of the single "U Got 2 Know" early in '93 which went Top 10 in the UK and Germany, and Top 30 all over Europe. The first major European success for Cappella.The next two years saw one success after another, the biggest triumph being "U Got 2 Let The Music", which found its way to the top spot in many of the European charts! But things had only just begun! The Ace of Cappella tracks was undoubtedly "Move On Baby". Released in 1994, its powerful, racey and melodic theme took it to number one in the UK, the Euro Sales Chart and a number of other countries! Following that, Media released the dance floor's most eagerly awaited album of the year, "U Got 2 Know". From the album, "U & Me" and "Move It Up" were released in 1994, and both repeated the massive success that Cappella were becoming accustomed to! 1995 The year 1995 saw a few changes in the Cappella/Media Records team. Kelly was fired (because she was not a real singer...but just the face of the group-(the sicret of cappella) soo Gianfranco Bortolotti said that Kelly Overett was fired because they wanted a real singer in the group while the statement from Kelly is that she was leaving herself, because she had no influence in Cappella and Alison Jordan joined the team. The single "Don't Be Proud" was released and in the summer the absolutely massive "Tell Me The Way" was released which had great, and well deserved, success in the Italian official charts, and a large number of other countries. 1996 In January 1996 Cappella released "I Need Your Love" it immediately climbed up the club and sales charts. They also released "Back In Your Life" and in the summer of 1996 they released their second album called "War In Heaven", and then in the fall they released their single "Turn It Up and Down", a superb track in a typical Cappella style. 1997 In April/May 1997 they released a single called "Be My Baby" in most of Europe. The single "U Tore My World Apart" was only released in Germany. In Scandinavia the single "Do You Run Away Now" was released and in Holland the single "The Big Beat" was released. Later in 1997 the rapper Rodney was fired, and the rap was taken over by T. Pagani. 1998 Later in 1998 Cappella released the superb single "U R The Power Of Love" which is in the same good-old fashioned Cappella sound. Cappella released a single in Spain on the 8th of October, "U R The Power Of Love". It was released by Bit Records. Cappella released the song "U Got 2 Let The Music" in a "98" version, in November. This single contained 5 mixes of the brand new '98 version plus a never released song: "Leave It". 2002 After years of silence things started to heathen up again. Cappella release the single "U Got 2 Know 2002" in September. "U Got 2 Know" was Cappella's real breakthrough in the charts, now they released this track again to let the fans and other people know that Cappella will be back. 2004 Cappella was back with the single "Angel". It was released on 12" in April and as a CDM in August. In August Cappella also released a 12" promo, yet another "remake", entitled "U Got 2 Let The Music 2004".
